Good morning! Last minute Q takeover and I couldn’t think of anything better to do but prepare the 12 attending men for the murph challenge on Monday.
The full workout is: A 1-mile run, followed by 100 pullups, 200 pushups, and 300 unweighted squats, followed by another 1-mile run wearing a 20lb vest. … In a nod to the workout’s military roots—it’s named for Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL killed in action in 2005.
My goal was to knock out half of it. We ran .5 mile and then commenced to knock out as many of the push ups, pull ups and squats as possible within about 30 min. Then we ran .5 back.
It was a real butt kicker for me and I was still sweating 20 min after I got home.
Shout out to @Woz who gets the “best dressed” award for his tuxedo shirt, “fastest chicken” award to @warchicken who left me in the dust on the run back and welcome to our FNG hailing from Boston, appropriately named ‘Dem Apples in honor of the classic film Good Will Hunting.
Prayers out to the service men and women out there putting it on the line so Americans can express their freedom of speech and live a free life, even when what they say is not very nice.
Look forward to Memorial Day, thank a vet, linger a bit this weekend when your wife talks to you, make her feel special. Tell your kid you are proud of them.
