Q Baby 2020.01.06
It was the first Jailbreak workout of 2020…and I have the Q. I didn’t expect to be the baby of the group though…. 4 PAX joined me in the early (and chilly) gloom to get after it and start the week right.
- Tapy Taps
- Finkle Kicks
**Mosey to middle of pier**
Merkin ladder with 5 sec pauses: 1 merkin – pause, 2 merkin – pause, 3 merkin pause….made it to seven merkins.
4 count Lounge walk with 1 squat to end of pier and back.
** Mosey to benches at pier entrance**
40 dips – rotate to another bench – 20 dips
** Mosey to intersection of Mallery ST and Butler (nice change of scenery under the dim street lights of the early morning)**
Decreasing Ladder with a jog to Beachview crosswalk and back
- 50 squats
- 40 plank jacks
- 30 Peter Parkers
- 20 American Hammers
- 10 Carolina Dry docks
- 5 Burpee
Rinse and repeat but half the reps (still jog to crosswalk and back)
- 15 Squats
- 20 plank jacks
- 15 Peter Parkers
- 10 American Hammers (I think we skipped this one)
- 10 Carolina dry docks (5 is too easy)
- 5 Burpess – its hard to do a half burpee 😊
** Sprint AYG to flag location for cool down and COT. Flags were missing? Who has the FLAGS???
Cool down bonus: 20 Flutter-Rosalitas (this is becoming my new finishing favorite)
5 PAX got out of bed on a chilly morning. Entered the Gloom to better themselves: Siri, War Chicken, Butter fingers, Blackberry, Mrs. Howell
Announcements and Prayer
If you take longer strides, you move faster and use less energy. A wise old(er) man taught me this. When done correctly, it actually feels like you are stepping on clouds. I look to see everyone’s new stride during our moseys and sprints!
PS. A huge Thank you to our new (first-time) AOQ’s; War Chicken – Jailbreak, Butterfinger -Ironman, Yogi -Renegade and for D2 to step up again and represent Sailor’s Warning. We are off to a great start in 2020!
