It’s Tuesday, so let’s work out!

To celebrate the arrival of warmer weather, a Dozen men took the DRP this morning – now a seven of them, who shall be referred to as “The Magnificent Seven” did so from the comfy confines of their homes. This left the Fabulous Five – FidgetSpinner, Mrs. Howell, Loveseat, Siri & yours truly – UptownGirl.

The Fabulous Five executed with Alabama like efficiency (University of Alabama not the State of Alabama) what shall forever be known as the greatest Tabata Tuesday workout of all time. I shall now share with you the critical integrated components of this epic Beatdown.

Arrival – greet the three officers who were there responding to an alarm from the church. Clearly identify myself as a person who is neither an official representative of the church nor a person who is trying to break into the church. No sir, I’m just here to workout and the fact I am wearing all black and carrying a backpack is just bad luck on my part.

3 – 10-minute Tabatas. 45 seconds on, 15 seconds off. 1 minute between Tabatas. All set to a nice LOUD soundtrack of what at times were inappropriate adult lyrics (yes the warming screen came up on Spotify).

  • Weighted Lunges
  • Tricep Extensions
  • Bicep Curls
  • Bent Over Rows
  • Thrusters
  • Mountain Climbers
  • American Hammers – weighted
  • Jump Squats
  • Carolina Dry Docks
  • Side Planks (switch 1/2 thru)

Tabata #2

  • Monkee Humpers (45 seconds is too long for monkee humpers)
  • Side Straddle Hops
  • Merkins
  • Flutter Kicks
  • Alternating Shoulder Taps
  • Tricep Extensions
  • Bicep Curls
  • Turkish Get-Ups, Right Side
  • Peter Parkers
  • Tempo Squats

Tabata #3

  • Thrusters
  • Alternating Shoulder Taps
  • Russian Twists (partners weights)
  • Sumo Squats
  • Tricep Extensions (this was a crowd favorite 3rd time around)
  • Bicep Curls
  • Protractor
  • Turkish Get-Ups, Left Side
  • Merkins
  • Lunge, weighted

Quick cool down. had the PAX hold their arms out to the side making a cross. We did this one time, and called it a day.

Count, Name, Announcements, Prayer requests, Prayer…and then it was over.
