D-Day

8 men had the pleasure of working out in the rain this morning!

The morning started with the disclaimer followed by a warm-up of arm circles, walking high knees, walking butt kickers, imperial walkers, a few slow paced mountains climbers and merkins’

The workout was in honor of D-Day!

Here is a short brief and the original workout as posted by GoRuck, we did a modified version.

On D-Day, 6 June 1944, Allied forces launched a combined naval, air and land assault on Nazi-occupied France. This year marks 77 years since D-Day, hence the 77 reps. One rep for each year to commemorate the years since D-Day.

1 Mile Ruck
77 Ruck Squats
77 Push-Ups
77 Ruck Deadlifts
77 Ruck Shoulder Press

Our version this morning

7 Rounds of:

  • 1 lap around the OPES parking out (run, walk, or jog, just get it done)
  • 11 squats
  • 11 merkins’
  • 11 deadlifts
  • 11 overhead presses

Pray for a student of Yogi’s that is at FLETC in a program. The student, Brian, had to leave when his wife 26 weeks pregnant suddenly went into labor. The baby, Elizabeth, is in the NICU doing okay but has an uphill battle.
